This winter, Cirque de Boheme returns to Sonoma with a joyful, fun and highly musical new show entitled “Disco”, featuring an international troupe of artists including: magician, trapeze artist, flying pole, juggler, aerialist, aerial duo, unicycle acrobat and more! An extraordinary cast in the service of an atypical story, which will take you back to the heart of the 70s, when Disco music was at its best. Disco music and circus acts. This unique cocktail will take you back to the heart of a decade so festive and carefree.

As every year for ten years, it’s once again the Bohemian from Cirque de Bohème who will be guiding you through the corridors of time, right up to the doors of Studio 54 in New York. “Disco” is a new show, which I’m sure will make you dance, sing and forget all your worries! The experience is available from November 29 to December 29, with showings reoccurring every Saturday and Sunday at 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM. An additional showing will be held at 5:00 PM on December 29.

The Sebastopol Cultural Community Center will host an Afrobeat Party to celebrate the New Year. This family-friendly event will feature live music from Onye & The Messengers, AfriCali, and Space Walker, offering a dynamic blend of Afrobeat, funk, jazz, and global grooves inspired by the legendary Fela Kuti.

The party also serves as a fundraiser for Geoffrey Enibu, a key figure in California’s Afrobeat music scene, who is currently battling cancer. Proceeds from the event will support his recovery.

Guests can indulge in delicious African and Jamaican cuisine, including Jollof rice and vegan Ital dishes. The event promises fun for the whole family, with activities such as face painting. Get ready to hit the dance floor in your best ’80s attire for an unforgettable night of music celebrating two of the most iconic UK bands of the 1980s: New Order and The Smiths.

Renowned tribute band Temptation will perform the post-punk, New Wave hits of New Order, with favorites like “Blue Monday,” “True Faith,” and “Bizarre Love Triangle.”

Shoplifters United, another highly acclaimed tribute band, will bring the energy of The Smiths to life with a full performance of their classic album The Queen is Dead.

The night will feature two one-hour sets, followed by DJ dancing until 1 AM. Doors open at 7:30 PM, and the show kicks off at 8 PM.
