The New Orleans Jazz Orchestra’s NOJO7 brings a festive flair to the season with A Crescent City Christmas—a lively celebration of holiday music infused with the unmistakable spirit of New Orleans. Perfect for the whole family, this performance blends classic holiday tunes with iconic NOLA favorites, delivering a night of music unlike any other.

Founded in 2002, the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra is dedicated to honoring the rich legacy of American jazz, with a special focus on its hometown roots. Under the leadership of Grammy-winning drummer and Artistic Director Adonis Rose, NOJO7, a dynamic seven-piece ensemble from the full orchestra, brings the city’s brass band traditions to life with their energetic and versatile performances.

Vocal group Kings Return has captivated audiences with their rich, smooth a cappella sound, drawing comparisons to legends like Take 6 and Boyz II Men. Since 2020, their gospel roots have expanded to include R&B, jazz, pop, and soul, pushing the boundaries of genre with their intricate harmonies and fluid vocal style.

With the release of their holiday album We 4 Kings, Kings Return continues to enchant listeners, delivering their signature sound on festive favorites such as “This Christmas” and “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year.”

The Sebastopol Cultural Community Center will host an Afrobeat Party to celebrate the New Year. This family-friendly event will feature live music from Onye & The Messengers, AfriCali, and Space Walker, offering a dynamic blend of Afrobeat, funk, jazz, and global grooves inspired by the legendary Fela Kuti.

The party also serves as a fundraiser for Geoffrey Enibu, a key figure in California’s Afrobeat music scene, who is currently battling cancer. Proceeds from the event will support his recovery.

Guests can indulge in delicious African and Jamaican cuisine, including Jollof rice and vegan Ital dishes. The event promises fun for the whole family, with activities such as face painting. Celebrate over 45 years of musical evolution with the GRAMMY Award-winning Dirty Dozen Brass Band! Since their founding in 1977, this legendary New Orleans-based group has redefined brass band music, blending traditional sounds with bebop jazz, funk, and R&B/soul into what they proudly call a “musical gumbo.” Their unique fusion has earned them a global following, taking them to five continents, more than thirty countries, and leading to collaborations with artists like Modest Mouse, Widespread Panic, and Norah Jones.
