Since 2002, the Sonoma Plein Air Festival at Sonoma Plaza has brought renowned artists to paint the stunning landscapes of Sonoma Wine Country, Marin, San Francisco, and the coast. Held each September, festival week features a Quick Draw at Sonoma’s Tuesday night Farmers Market, a Friday night Gala and Silent Art Auction, and a Saturday Art Show and Sale showcasing artwork created throughout the week.

As a nonprofit event, all proceeds directly support K-12 arts education in Sonoma Valley public schools and community programs through the Sonoma Plein Air Foundation. Artist commissions help foster creativity for the next generation. Thank you to the artists, attendees, donors, and volunteers who make this event possible!

Sonoma County Art Trails is a juried open studio event celebrating local artists. Held over two weekends in October, it offers a unique opportunity to visit artists’ studios, see their creative process, and purchase original works. The Art Trails Preview Show provides a first look at participating artists’ work, helping visitors plan their studio tours.

This free event welcomes art lovers to explore a diverse range of styles and mediums while connecting with the talented artists of Sonoma County. Applications for artists open soon.
