Welcome to the Fall Fruit Tasting put on by the Redwood Empire Chapter of the California Rare Fruit Growers! Taste all different kinds of locally grown, fresh, ripe fruit for free in this community event that is open to all. You can sample and compare at least 40 different kinds of fresh-eating apples, baking apples, apples for cider, and dessert apples. The rare, heritage apple varieties offered at the tasting are curated to be those most ripe and delicious the day of the tasting. Try them all and vote on your favorites in each class! They will also have several varieties of pears and a few other unique fall fruits.

Besides the fresh fruit, they will also have tastings of apple cider, pear juice, homemade pies, and more. Mingle with the enthusiasts who grow these unusual fruits. Information also available on growing your own and helping to preserve our heritage of fabulous fruit genetics.
