Experience a powerful choral journey from darkness to light with a moving program centered around Prayer for Peace by Dr. Brian S. Wilson, written for treble voices and chamber orchestra. The concert also features works by Vittoria Aleotti, Felix Mendelssohn, André Thomas, and Andrea Ramsey, all unified by themes of struggle, hope, and transformation.

“This program offers a reflection on our shared human experience… ultimately emerging into the light,” says conductor Jenny Bent.

Performed by the acclaimed SonoVoce and the SSU Concert Choir, both ensembles have earned recognition across the state and beyond. Highlights include a 2023 performance at the California All-State Music Education Conference and a 2022 appearance at Carnegie Hall under Dr. Bent’s direction. They also perform regularly with the Santa Rosa Symphony and have shared the stage at Weill Hall with celebrated artists like The Singing Sergeants and The Chieftains.
