Drive down Highway 12, from Santa Rosa to Sonoma, to experience the beauty of Sonoma Valley. Wineries line the rural highway and we would be remiss if we didn’t suggest you explore each one. Knowing that you have the time, and the palate, to only stop at three (maybe four) on your drive through the valley we’ve taken the time to narrow it down for you. Each winery on this list offers something special that we don’t want you to miss.

If You Want To Explore A Castle: Ledson Winery  Ledson-Castle-40_30x16 Driving East on Highway 12 you will find the Ledson castle on your left. The unexpected sight of this architectural fete will surely impress. Winery owner Steve Ledson describes the castle as a “gothic blast from the past…” which emerges “out of acres of rolling vineyards and pastoral calm.”
