From February to August, Jack London State Historic Park in Glen Ellen, Sonoma County, becomes a haven for wildflower enthusiasts. The park’s 29 miles of trails showcase vibrant blooms across its 1,570 acres. To help visitors make the most of peak wildflower season, the park offers a free online Blooming Now guide. Updated every two weeks from February through August 31, 2025, the guide includes photos, names, and recently spotted locations of flowers like California Buttercup, Pacific Hounds Tongue, and Checker Lily.

Open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., the park invites hikers and walkers to explore its trails and gardens, armed with the guide to identify the diverse blooms. For the best experience, visitors are encouraged to go slowly, observe carefully, and note flower traits, as wildflowers vary greatly in size, color, and habitat—from sunny grasslands to shady forests.
